Spotlights require optical and mounting choices
For a spotlight reference, define the mounting type, body dimensions, beam angle, aiming range, output target, colour quality and glare expectations. A narrow accent beam and a wider general-lighting beam can use a similar housing while producing different results. The ceiling construction and service access also determine whether a recessed, surface-mounted or track format is appropriate.
Record finish and trim details only after the installation and optical requirements are clear. This prevents a housing match from overriding the actual lighting task.
Panel lights require construction and control decisions
The booth included round, square and larger panel formats. A current panel request should state overall dimensions, cut-out or mounting arrangement, panel construction, driver location, output, CCT, CRI, dimming protocol and ceiling conditions. Emergency conversion, sensors and tunable-white control should be separate option fields rather than assumptions.
A tunable-white backlit LED panel is one current route when adjustable white light is required. It should still be compared against the project ceiling, control system and required documentation before sample approval.
Linear products require a complete run definition
The linear display included individual fittings and linked arrangements. For a connected run, provide the length of every unit, total run length, power-entry position, connector type, gaps, corners, switching or dimming method and service access. The allowable number of linked fittings must follow the exact product instructions and electrical limits; it cannot be inferred from appearance.

Keep the sample and order on the same revision
Once the current model is selected, copy its model code and option schedule into the sample request. The quotation, sample label, approved photographs, drawing, packaging artwork and purchase specification should all refer to the same revision. A later change to the driver, LED board, optical component, finish, connector or accessory should trigger a documented comparison before approval.
