PL-L UV-C Germicidal Lamps

PL-L UV-C germicidal lamps are clear Φ18 mm return-tube components with 2G11 four-pin bases. Three models cover 225–415 mm lengths for enclosed OEM equipment.
  • Parallel Return Geometry: Paired clear legs fold back to form the elongated lamp body.
  • Consolidated End Connection: Four contacts sit at one end of the assembly.
  • Serviceable Source Module: The consumable component remains separate from its host equipment.
  • Three Physical Envelopes: Individual order codes suit different equipment-cavity lengths.

Product Description

Product Details

Product Construction

The PL-L product is a low-pressure mercury-vapour source with a clear Φ18 mm glass body. It is supplied as a lamp component; the complete system provides the holder, ballast, enclosure, controls and access safeguards.

Selection & Installation Notes

Before replacement, verify cavity clearance, 2G11 holder orientation, four-pin alignment and operating circuit against the equipment drawing. UV-C can seriously injure eyes and skin, so operate the lamp only inside equipment with effective containment, interlocks or equivalent access controls, lockout procedures and an exposure review. Compare related products in our UV-C germicidal lamp range.

Recommended Application

Applications

  • Air Treatment Chambers: Install the selected lamp inside enclosed air-treatment equipment with matched electrical components and access safeguards.
  • Water Treatment Modules: Integrate the PL-L source inside shielded reactor equipment designed for the chosen model.
  • Closed Process Equipment: Use the replaceable component within assemblies that prevent UV-C exposure during operation.
  • OEM Treatment Systems: Approve the complete lamp, circuit and enclosure definition before sampling or production.

Frequently Asked Questions?

Find clear answers to common questions about product specifications, model selection, applications, and quotation requirements. For project-specific needs, send us your target market, required quantity, and key specifications.

Can a PL-L UV-C lamp be used for open room lighting?

No. UV-C can seriously injure eyes and skin. Operate the lamp only inside equipment with effective shielding, interlocks and controlled maintenance procedures.

Is the 2G11 holder included?

No. The supplied item is the lamp only; the host equipment provides the matched holder, ballast, enclosure, controls and safeguards.

Can a PL-L lamp replace a PL-S lamp?

Do not substitute by appearance alone. PL-L uses a long Φ18 return form and a 2G11 four-pin base; verify the physical interface, electrical circuit and equipment safeguards before replacement.

How should a replacement model be selected?

Match the complete model, Φ18 geometry, exact length, 2G11 base, operating circuit and ozone requirement to the approved equipment specification.

How should the UV-C intensity entries be used?

Treat them as lamp-component references. Measurement distance, geometry and test conditions are not specified, so do not use them for finished-system design or cross-model performance comparison.

When should a PL-L UV-C lamp be replaced?

The rated lifetime is 8,000–10,000 hours. Follow the host equipment maintenance schedule and the validated system procedure for replacement timing and safe handling.
